So the warmer weather has arrived, and it appears I have been ignoring you!
I have been super busy with my artwork. Also I have had my usual change-of-season cold. To top it off I was caught in the Telstra/Kogan mobile phone debacle, so I was without phone or internet for a bit longer than a week.
But I have been enjoying the warmth.
I managed to grab a few hours to plant some more bulbs (late, I know).
The bed is at my front gate, and the blue pot is beside the mail box.
The pot contains some muscari (grape hyacinths), panola (pansy x viola cross) and parsley.
In the bed I have mass planted spring star bulbs, both blue and white. I know it is late this year so I'm not expecting big results, but I'm hoping that they will get settled they will do well next year.
Over these I have planted catmint, a creeper with blue flowers. In theory, the cat mint dies back over the winter, so the bulbs will fill the area late winter before the catmint rejuvenates in spring.
I have also put garlic chives lining the rocks. These are a beautiful and edible herb and they will grow up around the concrete cat and make him look more at home.
Lastly there are yellow polyanthus for a bit of annual colour. I don't normally grow these, but they were very sad at a large hardware store so I paid 50c each and brought them home for a good drink of water. They look fabulous now!
Wylie has also been enjoying the sun! So cute!! It was his birthday last Sunday, so my boy is now 5! Big hugs to my Wylie xoxo.
